Event in LOVE Park in Center City to Feature Contests, Prizes, 'Jimmy and the Parrots,' to be Followed by Movie Screening at Independence Seaport MuseumWHAT:  As the SS United States Conservancy continues its S.O.S. campaign to save Philly's own 'Lady in the Harbor,' and America's Flagship, the SS United States, local supporters will stage a rally on Tuesday in LOVE Park.  The event featuring Jimmy of 'Jimmy & the Parrots' will perform during the rally.  There will also be a 'Save the United States' placard competition for kids and raffles with great prizes from Legacy Tours of Distinction, Champps, Lowe's, Longhorn Steakhouse, Famous Dave's, VisionWorks, Wendy's, and the Independence Seaport Museum. The grand prize will be an exclusive tour of the SS United States for two.The event is free and open to the public.The LOVE Park event will be followed by a screening of the latest documentary about the ship, SS United States, Made in America at the Independence Seaport Museum beginning at 7pm.
