SS United States Conservancy Prevails in Rent ...

US District Court Senior Judge Anita Brody ruled today that the SS United States’ landlord, Penn Warehousing, could not double dockage fees without notice in its effort to force “America’s Flagship” from Pier 82 in Philadelphia. However, the Court also directed the irreplaceable national symbol to vacate the premises by September 12, 2024.

Meet the Conservancy: Dr. Phillip Marion, Administrative & Program Associate

Dr. Phillip Marion joined the Conservancy as the Administrative & Program Associate, having recently completed his Doctorate in Music Performance, Pedagogy, and Literature from James Madison University. He is a highly trained and acclaimed performer, having given concerts throughout the continental United States and Europe, and he placed highly in several international music competitions.

The Conservancy is excited to introduce our global community to our newest team member, Sydney Sheehan!

Sydney is our Curatorial Associate and is the driving force behind numerous special projects, such as our recent T-shirt campaign and our Museum Planning Survey. Sydney comes to us from Columbia University. She has a Masters of Arts in American Art and a real passion for our Flagship.
