The SS United States wasn’t just a ship, it was a “5 day house party to Europe.” No wonder it catered to so many celebrities, business tycoons, and politicians. From the Hamiltons of Gulf Oil Company to Cary Grant, the SS United States all but promised that you would “sail with a gay Who’s Who.”
