Like other ads meant for international audiences, this one carried messages about Americans. Through the vignettes to the left of the page, viewers learned that traveling on the SS United States wasn’t only a luxury, but an opportunity as well. Viewers follow a British businessman getting to America “the easy way.” On his journey, he meets American businessmen and before the trip is over his new friends have invited him to a conference! British viewers were told that one of the best reasons to take the SS United States was the chances of making invaluable American connections.
